If someone you know and love has died a funeral led by a Church of England minister can be held in church, in a churchyard, by a graveside, or at a crematorium. The minister will be there to support you every step of the way. 

When arranging a Funeral Service, we suggest that you first go to your chosen Funeral Director who will discuss your funeral requirements. They will then liaise with us at St. Bartholomew’s to confirm Service dates, times and requests.

We will advise your Funeral Director which minister will officiate at the Funeral Service and then the minister will contact the family directly to discuss the Eulogy, hymn choices, etc. 

Ministers will officiate for Services:

• • In Church followed by Committal at a Crematorium

  • In Church followed by Burial in a Churchyard or Cemetery

  • Grave-side Services only

  • Cremation Services only

  • Services of Thanksgiving
